Blowin' in the Wind
Bob Dylan's toilet is infringing human rights. It took fly-overs by news helicopters to bring the story to the viewing public in all its graphic glory. No shit. More here.

"Why do people think Bob Dylan was a great lyricist? That creep couldn't even write doggerel"
So says Germaine Greer in The Guardian. It must have been a long time between headlines for Germaine, who suffers from a special condition. It's called Relevance Deprivation Syndrome. She has it bad. Not that I regularly read The Guardian, mind you. Regarding Ms Greer and the 70s: In short, the best thing Germaine did was Mick Farren - and apparently becasue they both had an Afro she thought he was the MC5's Rob Tyner.

Bob and Chuck are Down On The Street
There's a mini-Bobfest happening at the I-94 Bar right now so the thought of Dylan, Chuck Berry and Iggy & The Stooges on the one festival bill is not as silly as it sounds. Oh to live in Baltimore.

Cate's husband's Radio playlist Appears
You probably Cate Blanchette’s name better than that of her husband, playwright Andrew Upton, who’s working with his missus as co-director of the Sydney Theatre Company. But did you know he was interviewed on Australia’s national ABC Classical Radio recently and 'fessed up that his favourite band of all time was Radio Birdman?
Here's the playlist for his interview:
Blind Willie McTell - Bob Dylan
Preludes and Fugues: Fugue No 4 in E minor - Konstantin Schubakov
Alabama - John Coltrane
Aloha Steve and Danno - Radio Birdman
The Sorrowful Wife - Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds
Guess the Dylan song was a no-brainer, considering his missus has played him on-screen.
